My life had changed forever after injury a couple of years ago and things I loved I can no longer do physically. I had never been this overweight in my life and weighed 30 kgs more than I had pre injury. During this time stress, lack of sleep, chronic pain and bad eating have taken its toll.
When I first started The Paleo Way Program at the end of June 2015, I thought 10 weeks is not a long time to see results of change. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would achieve such dramatic change in 5 months. I can proudly say now “WOW WOW WOW!” It’s a life changing decision.
After finishing the TPW 10 Week Program I have continued living my Paleo Lifestyle. You know you are on a good thing when your skin looks great, your eyes shine, and your waist is smaller, along with your butt.
Everyone has his or her journey on The Paleo Way 10 week Program. Due to injury to my wrist and shoulder I cannot do exercises in program so to move my body I chose walking. The only exercise I have done is walking and also not walked due to knee and kept on eating the way of the program. I grab the dog’s lead and my partner and we use the time walking to chat with each other. Moving the body helps with mindset.
I have seen a big change overall in my body and my mind. I am now in a healthy weight range. I am calmer and happier. I have learnt how Food is Medicine, that what we choose to put in our mouth can change the way we look and feel. I have tried so many recipes in the program and there is still more to try and many more new recipes coming this year.
When I started the TPW 10 Week Program my goal was to finish. Then my next goal was a Paleo Xmas Feast. My next big goal is to be “Fit at Fifty” in September.
Eating ‘The Paleo Way’ for 5 months has seen me drop 4 clothes sizes, and release 25kgs. I have gained more energy, a renewed love of life, and am on the path to finding inner peace.
I want to learn more about body and mind and am reading Nora Gedgaudas book Primal Body Primal Mind and next her ebook Rethinking Fatigue. Just starting Gabriel Bernsteins book Miracles Now. I am starting to look after the Mind and Body now.
I have learnt from Pete, Nora, Helen, Luke and Trevor to focus on the bigger picture and the benefits of living a Paleo life. Paleo has changed my life in so many ways — too many to list.
I am still learning on this journey everyday and hope that I can inspire or encourage anyone else to take the step and join The Paleo Way program.
To anyone thinking about going Paleo — just do it!!!! It will change your life.
